Returns and Refund Policy

Welcome to OCS Automotive Engineering. This Returns and Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions for returning products purchased through our website, https://www.ocservice.co.uk. Please read this policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities when making a return.

1. General Return Policy

We aim to ensure our customers are satisfied with their purchases. If you are not entirely happy with your order, you have the right to request a return or refund under the terms outlined below.

1.1 Eligibility for Returns

  • Products must be in their original condition, unused, and in the original packaging.
  • You have 14 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return.

1.2 Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of certain products we sell, the following items are not eligible for return:

  • Custom-made or personalized items, including bespoke Italian RP forged rods and pistons crafted to your specifications.
  • Items that have been modified or installed.

1.3 Changed Mind or Ordered the Wrong Part

If you have changed your mind about a purchase or ordered the wrong part, you may still return the item within 14 days of delivery, provided it is in its original condition, unused, and in the original packaging. Please note:

  • A restocking fee of 15% of the item’s purchase price will be deducted from your refund to cover handling and processing costs.
  • The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping in these cases.

1.4 Faulty or Damaged Items

If you receive a faulty or damaged product, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us within 30 days of delivery to report the issue, providing proof of the defect (e.g., photos or videos).

2. Returns Process

2.1 How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please contact our customer service team via email at sales@ocservice.co.uk or call us at  01962 855969. Provide the following details:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for the return

Once your return is approved, we will provide you with a return authorization number and instructions on how to send the item(s) back to us.

2.2 Return Shipping Costs

  • For non-faulty items, the customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping.
  • For faulty or damaged items, OCS Automotive Engineering will cover the cost of return shipping.

3. Refunds

3.1 Refund Eligibility

Refunds will be issued once we receive and inspect the returned item(s). If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days.

3.2 Deductions from Refunds

  • If returned items are not in their original condition or are missing components, a deduction may be made from your refund to cover any loss in value.
  • A 15% restocking fee will apply to returns due to changed mind or ordering the wrong part.

4. Exceptions for Custom-Made Items

Custom-made or personalized products, such as Italian RP forged rods and pistons, are exempt from the standard right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. These items are made to your exact specifications and cannot be resold. As such, we are unable to accept returns or offer refunds for custom-made items unless they are faulty or damaged upon arrival.
